How to Replace a Lost Emirates ID
Specific steps must be followed to request a replacement through official channels, as follows:
- Report the loss at the nearest ICP (Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security) Customer Happiness Centre.
- Submit valid identification documents, such as:
- Passport copy or a family book (for UAE nationals).
- A residence visa copy (for expatriates).
- Original birth certificate, If the lost ID belongs to a child under 15.
- Fill in an application form at any of ICA’s Customer Happiness Centres or the UAE ICP app.
- Pay the Applicable Fees about AED 300 is charged for a replacement Emirates ID, plus an additional AED 70 if applying through typing centers, or AED 40 for online applications.
- A confirmation message with the application number will be sent via SMS. T
- New Emirates ID will be issued. A notification will be sent when it’s ready for collection at the selected post office.; standard cards are issued within 48 hours, express within 24.
